Overview
There are nine Abilities split into three groups; Physical, Mental and Integrated.
A character's prowess in an Ability is fundamentally defined by that Ability's Score. This Score, however, translates to a Rank and it is the Ability's Rank that will be used when making an Ability Check, see the System page.
Score & Rank
Ability Ranks run from 1 to 12. Human characters should normally have Ability Ranks between 1 and 5. Rank 1 corresponds to a Score of 5-9, Rank 2 to a Score of 10-14 and so on with Scores of 60 and greater being Rank 12. Should a Score of 0-4 be achieved the character no longer makes Checks for that Ability and will instead automatically pass or fail the Check, depending on the nature of the Check.
Rank | Score | Description |
1 | 5-9 | Poor; below human average |
2 | 10-14 | Mediocre; about human average |
3 | 15-19 | Good; above human average |
4 | 20-24 | Excellent; highly effective by human standards |
5 | 25-29 | Superb; fantastically good by human standards |
6 | 30-34 | Low Superhuman |
7 | 35-39 | Superhuman |
8 | 40-44 | High Superhuman |
9 | 45-49 | Low Fantastical |
10 | 50-54 | Fantastical |
11 | 55-59 | High Fantastical |
12 | 60+ | Grotesque |
