BrOAGS Plot Points

This article is part of the rules of BrOAGS.

All players have 3 plot points to spend each session. They can spend them on behalf of their own characters or on each other's.

Plot Points can be spent for the following effects:

Retcon: For one plot point, the player can go back and say that their character did something in a previous scene that wasn't mentioned at the time, so long as it wouldn't have had an effect on the plot until now.

Hollywood Healing: For one plot point, at any time other than in combat, the character recovers Hit Points equal to their Toughness.

Re-roll: For one plot point, any one roll can be rerolled. All four dice are rolled again. The new result stands, even if it is worse than the original one.

Lucky Shot: For one plot point, any one attack automatically hits. This is as the attack is declared and no dice are rolled.

That's Gotta Hurt: For one plot point, any one attack is treated as a critical hit if it hits at all. This is declared before the dice are rolled. You can't use Lucky Shot and That's Gotta Hurt on the same attack.

Not as Bad as it Looked: For two plot points, during combat, the character recovers Hit Points equal to their Toughness.

Rock and Re-roll: For two plot points, the player may select the dice she likes from a roll and reroll only the rest. The new result stands, even if it is worse than the original one.

Lucky Bastard: For three plot points, the player may, instead of rolling the dice, take ++++ to be the result.

Badasses Don't Quit: For three plot points, the character can continue fighting, taking no wound penalties regardless of their Hit Points. After the end of the fight, they slow down, pass out or die as normal.

Not So Fast: For three plot points, the character may take an extra turn out of initiative order, interrupting the action of whoever is currently acting. After the character's action is resolved, initiative sequence returns to normal, resuming the action of the character who was interrupted (unless they've been killed by the character benefiting from Not So Fast).
