Cult of Shakath

The Cult of Shakath is a group of Slavic occultists dating back to the late 13th century. They worship Shakath, the last of the dragons, who is in hibernation beneath the city of Moscow. They believe that one day, Shakath will awaken and that only those who have provided for her while she slept will be spared. As such, they guard her underground cavern and find treasures to place beside her sleeping form.

The Cult of Shakath has, over its seven hundred years of life, accumulated a great deal of wealth, power and influence. They have an impressive store of rituals and have many talented sorcerers amongst their numbers. They also have many magickal items as well as extensive links to organized crime, the Russian Government and certain heretical elements of the Orthodox Church.
