Melee Weapons

An extension of the weapons article, concerning weapons and their modifications.
One-handed Melee weapons add the wielder's Strength score to their Damage. Two-handed Melee weapons add twice the wielder's Strength score to their Damage.

Plain Weapons

These weapons may be taken as part of your gear.

Staff +0 Two-handed +1 Defence, Non-lethal, Blunt
Club +1 One-handed Non-lethal, Blunt
Knife +1 One-handed Subtle, Blade
Polearm +2 Two-handed +1 Defence, Piercing
Rapier/Foil +2 One-handed Piercing
Sword/Saber +2 One-handed Blade
Hammer/Mace/Morningstar +2 One-handed Blunt
Axe +4 One-handed -1 Defence, Blade
Greatsword +4 Two-handed Blade
Maul +4 Two-handed Blunt
Greataxe +6 Two-handed -1 Defence, Blade

I think maybe hammers should be like Axes except Blunt(rather than like swords except blunt). I think Rapiers ought to be Blades and Piercing. Foils and Sabers are not weapons AFAIC.

3 point Weapons

These weapons can be bought for 3 character points.

Imbued Weapon
An imbued weapon is one which is bolstered by magick in a generic manner. Its edges are sharper, it feels perfectly weighted and strikes more often.
Any melee weapon can be imbued, and it grants +2 to hit, and +2 to damage per hand.

Muspellthrum Weapon
A weapon made from the metal muspellthrum. Only its surface is metal, and its core is molten. Dangerously hot to touch.
Swords, Hammers, Axes and Greataxes can be made from Muspellthrum, and it grants +4 damage per hand and deals fire damage. For each round you hold it, you take 5 fire damage unless you are a without.

Make it a flat +10 damage, since you'll be buying each weapon individually.

Niflthrum Weapon
A weapon made from the metal niflthrum. Vapour steams from it as it moves about in the air. Too cold to touch.
Swords, Hammers, Axes and Greatswords can be made from Muspellthrum, and it grants +4 damage per hand and deals cold damage. For each round you hold it, you take 5 cold damage unless you are a without.

6 point Weapons

These weapons can be bought for 3 character points.

Magick Weapon
A magick weapon is one which is greatly bolstered by magick in a generic manner. Each Magick item is a specimen of magickal mastery and true craftsmanship.
Any melee weapon can be made magick, and it grants +3 to hit, and +5 to damage per hand.

Magickal Swords are +4 Damage, +3 to hit, +3 Defence compared to regular swords. Maybe use that?
