Oags Martial Artist V3

Mission: Ditch the dull manuevers which only give bonus to hit or Damage. Reduce power on the rest of them so they are alternatives to standard attacks, not superior.

Martial Artist will drop in price, probably to 1cp for every 3 manuevers.

A character with the Martial Artist Advantage may use a Martial Arts manuever as a combat actions. Martial Arts manuevers use the entirity of the body and so are not "handed".

Unarmed Manuevers

Unarmed manuevers do not require any weapon- the attack is performed with the martial artist's own body

Sweep
The martial artist sweeps their opponents legs out from under them with an attack.
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack
Special Rules: If this attack hits, the enemy is automatically knocked prone.

Spin
The martial artist launches into a spin, striking at enemies all arround him.
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack against each adjacent enemy.
Special Rules: None.

Spear
The martial artist violently charges the enemy's center of gravity knocking them to the floor.
Attacks: 1 unarmaed one-handed attack
Special Rules: If the attack hits, the enemy is automatically thrown back 5 feet and knocked prone. The martial artist may then choose to move 5 feet forwards.

Shoulder Throw
The martial artist hurls the enemy to the floor, keeping his hands on their sleeve as a prelude to further abuse.
Attacks: 1 unarmed one-handed attack
Special Rules: If the attack hits, the enemy is automatically thrown behind the martial artist and knocked prone. The martial artist may then choose to immediately initiate a pin.

Disarming Flourish
The martial artist snatches his enemy's weapon and turns it against him
Attacks: 1 disarm attack and 1 attack with the enemy's weapon
Special Rules: The martial artist makes a Disarm attempt as usual. If successful, he may make an attack against the disarmed enemy with his own weapon.

Rising Attack
The martial artist strikes at his enemies while rising from the floor
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack
Special Rules: The martial artist must be prone or gone to ground to use this manuever. He the rises to his feet as part of the attack.

Drop Kick
The martial artist drops to the floor, while kicking his enemy with both feet.
Attacks: 1 two-handed unarmed attack
Special Rules: The martial artist goes to ground as part of this attack.l

Roundhouse Kick
A quick spin leading into a fast kick.
Attacks: 1 two-handed unarmed attack
Special Rules: The martial artist is at +1 to hit but -1 to defense.

Tamakeri
A sharp kick to the groin.
Attacks: 1 one-handed unarmed attack.
Special Rules: If the attack hits, the target suffers -3 pain penalty until the end of the fight. If it criticals, the target is also knocked prone.

Cross Strangle
A simple standing strangle.
Damage: Strength
Attacks: 1
Special Rules: This attack can only be made while grappling someone and automatically hits. This attack also maintains the grapple.

Floor Choke
A brutal strangle perfomed while prone.
Damage: Strength
Attacks: 1
Special Rules: This attack can only be made while pinning someone and automatically hits. This attack also maintains the pinning. Note, they may also attempt to strangle you back instead of escape.

Lunge
The martial artist launches a rapid, aggressive thrust.
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack
Special Rules: This attack automatically criticals if it hits.

Counter-Attack
The martial artist parries and strikes back.
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack per successful Defence roll.
Special Rules: The martial artist makes no attacks on his action. Until his next action, every time the martial artist successfully defends against a Melee attack, he may make an attack against his aggressor.

Shield Bash
The experianced warrior knows the shield is as much a weapon as any other.
Attacks: 1 one-handed attack of any kind and 1 shield bash.
Special Rules: The shield bash deals Damage equal to the martial artist's Strength. The shield doesn't provide as much protection when being used as a weapon so only provides a +1 bonus to Defence instead of the normal +2 until the martial artist's next action.
