Nukes

OAGS stats for nuclear bomb. Nuclear Bombs have a Potency Rating from 1 to 5.

KA-BOOM

In the initial moment of the explosion, the following effects occur.

Ground Zero: Characters at ground zero suffer three effects. At ground zero, characters must pass a difficulty 7 Dodge check to get into cover.

  • 40 points of Fire Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.
  • 40 points of Explosive Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.
  • 20 Points of Radiation Damage. This cannot be soaked and is sustained whether or not the characters gets into cover.

Fireball: Characters within a number of miles equal to the Potency Rating of ground zero are caught in the fireball and suffer the following effects. In the fireball, a difficulty 6 Dodge check is needed to get into cover.

  • 30 points of Fire Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.
  • 30 points of Explosive Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.
  • 10 Points of Radiation Damage. This cannot be soaked and is sustained whether or not the characters gets into cover.

Lethal Burns: Characters within a quarter of a mile of the fireball suffer the following effects. At this range, a difficulty 5 Dodge check is needed to get into cover.

  • 25 points of Fire Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.
  • 5 points of Radiation Damage. This cannot be soaked and is sustained whether or not the characters gets into cover.

Serious Burns: Characters with a number of miles of the fireball equal to the Potency Rating suffer the following effects. At this range, a difficulty 4 Dodge check is needed to get into cover.

  • 20 points of Fire Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.

Moderate Burns: Characters within a number of miles of the fireball equal to twice the Potency Rating suffer the following effects. At this range, a difficulty 3 Dodge check is needed to get into cover.

  • 10 points of Fire Damage. This can be soaked and is halved if the character manages to get into cover.

Radioactive Fallout

For an airburst bomb, all characters within a number of miles equal to three times the Potency rating will suffer from acute radiation poisoning.

In the event of a surface detonation, all character within a number of miles equal to ten times the Potency rating suffer acute radiation poisoning and radioactive dust is carried by the wind, causing radiation poisoning downwind.
