OAGSv3 HP, Armour and Damage

An undamaged character has Hit Points equal to five times their Toughness.

All weapons have a Damage characteristic. For instance, a handgun does 7 damage, while a sniper rifle does 12 damage. If a character is hit by a weapon, he loses hit points equal to the weapon's Damage.

If a character wears Armour, he subtracts his Armour's Soak from the Damage before applying it to his Hit Points.

A character can fight without penalty as long his hit points are above three times his Toughness. When his hit points drop to three times his Toughness, he suffers a -1 wound penalty. When his hit points drop to twice his Toughness, this penalty increases to -2. When his hit points drop to his Toughness, this penalty increases again to -3.

If a character is unfortunate enough to drop to 0 Hit Points, he is unconscious.

Healing: A character heals hit points equal to their Toughness every 24 hours, assuming adequete sleep(8 hours or so) and nutrition.
