Soviet Institute of Time Manipulation (SITM)
Simply put, the Soviet Time agency. They’re method of time travel is somewhat unstable and is based upon the stolen plans of an Einstein gateway, however without Einstein himself they were unable crack movement forward in time. Thusly they are unable to create a recall device. This means that Soviet time agents are unable to return to their own time period.
Due to this limitation manned Soviet time travel has been limited to all but two occasions, there have however been numerous successfully attempts made by the SITM to plant objects within time and space. A prime example of this is Sputnik 1. However this event, and the ripples created by it, brought about the events leading up to, and thus, the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. If it had not been for the intervention of Hugh Charlesworthy the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev would have had this event removed from history by the SITM.
